At the beginning of 2020 Longton Exchange was happy to have welcomed the new Polka Dot Travel store, as we all know things took a drastic turn and Polka Dot Travel, along with a lot of other retailers, closed its doors. Store manager Donna Jones became a homeworker travel agent still giving her support to her customers.
Moving along to July and we are happy to say that Polka Dot Travel are back at their lovely new unit and trading.
Some of you will recognise Donna and her team from the former Thomas Cook branch in Longton, when the travel agent collapsed they were picked up quickly by Polka Dot Travel and are happily welcoming new and old customers again.
Earlier in the year Donna also picked up the Unsung Hero award on behalf of all former Thomas Cook staff at the Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards. When Thomas Cook collapsed Donna says: ‘Our first thought was for the customers.’
We are happy to see the Polka Dot Travel team back at the centre and wish them the very best.
