This year, we’re collaborating with Longton & Proud for a very special Giving Tree initiative. Located in the centre, the tree invites you to pick a tag and wish for something special this year.It’s a beautiful way to spread kindness and bring joy to our community during the festive season. Prepare to be amazed as the magic of Christmas comes alive with roaming performances throughout December.
Thursday, 14th December – A Nutcracker Stilt Walker and an Elf Juggler will be spreading festive cheer from 11am until 3pm.
Thursday, 21st December – Two Elf Stilt Walkers will take over the centre, delighting visitors of all ages from 11am until 3pm.
Keep an eye out…you might just spot Santa Claus too who will be handing out some surprises!
Christmas Light Switch-On Extravaganza.
Keep your diary free on Saturday, 23rd December, when Longton Exchange will shimmer with its Christmas Light Switch-On. This event will be brimming with festive entertainment, including:
– 40+ Artisan Stalls: Discover handmade gifts, delicious treats, and unique creations from local makers, bakers, and creators.
– Fun Fair: Enjoy the thrill of the rides and the laughter of the season.
– Street Food: Satisfy your festive cravings with a range of mouth-watering options.

Family Film & Festive Craft Activities.
Thanks to Urban Wilderness, you can enjoy these heartwarming activities during the Light Switch-On:
Christmas Family Film Club: From 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at The Moony Club, snuggle up on bean bags and enjoy a festive movie with popcorn and drinks. Perfect for families to relax together!
Friendship Bracelet Workshop: From 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, join a fun craft session and create a bracelet to gift someone special. Part of the Threads of Kindness project, you can even collect bracelet pieces from The Moroccan Café, Britannia Café, or Café Delight.
Late-Night Festivities.
Make your evenings merry and bright with our late-night openings:
Thursday, 7th December: Kiln at Number 12 will open late with a fully licensed bar, for a cosy evening treat.
Saturday, 21st December: Enjoy free mulled wine as you shop late into the evening. It’s our way of saying thank you for spending Christmas with us and always supporting our centre with lots of love!
