Longton’s Big Spring Clean: Join Us This March
This March, Longton is coming together to do something simple, positive and practical for the place we call home.
From Friday 13 to Sunday 29 March, Longton Exchange is organising Longton’s Big Spring Clean, taking place as part of the national Great British Spring Clean, a UK-wide initiative that encourages communities to take pride in their local areas and care for the places that matter to them.
Why now?
After Longton’s recent Town of Culture bid, and the conversations, memories and pride it’s sparked, there’s a real sense of momentum building across the town. The Big Spring Clean is a chance to build on that energy in a hands-on way, bringing people together, improving our shared spaces, and showing what Longton is capable of when we work collectively.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about pride, care and small actions adding up.
How to get involved
You don’t need to book or commit to specific days, just turn up when you can and lend a hand for as long as suits you.
Whether that’s:
Picking up a bit of litter
Tidying the space outside your home or business
Or joining one of the organised clean-up sessions
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.

A community effort
Longton’s Big Spring Clean is about more than tidying streets. It’s about showing residents, visitors and decision-makers that Longton is a town that cares about its future — and that pride in place starts with the people who live and work here.
You don’t have to do everything.
Just care enough to do something.
Because Longton is our town 💙
