Longton Exchange Turns 60 – Celebrate With Us!
This year marks a major milestone for Longton Exchange Shopping Centre – we’re turning 60! Since opening in 1965, Longton Exchange has been a vital part of the community, providing a welcoming space for shopping, socialising, and celebrating local culture.
To honour six decades at the heart of Longton, we’re inviting the whole community to join us on Saturday 6th September 2025, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, for a special anniversary event filled with fun, entertainment, and celebration.
The day will see the much-loved Food & Drink Festival return, featuring a wide variety of local food vendors and delicious treats to satisfy every palate. Alongside the festival, visitors can browse artisan stalls showcasing unique crafts, gifts, and local products — perfect for finding something special or supporting small businesses.
Entertainment will be a big focus of the day, with interactive performers and walkabout acts adding to the lively atmosphere. We’re thrilled to welcome spectacular dance performances from Michelle Moss School of Performing Arts, whose talented dancers will bring energy and excitement to the event. Meanwhile, 6 Towns Radio will provide a soundtrack of great music, keeping the mood upbeat throughout the afternoon.
This is a free, family-friendly event designed to bring together people of all ages from Longton and beyond. Whether you’re coming to enjoy the food, shop at the stalls, watch the performances, or simply soak up the community spirit, there will be something for everyone.
