Allison Gardner – Member of Parliament for Stoke-on-Trent South

Allison Gardner is the MP for Stoke-on-Trent South, known for her dedication to public service, education, AI ethics, and local community causes. With a rich background spanning education, science, and politics, Allison brings both deep expertise and grassroots passion to her role.

Before entering Parliament, Allison worked as a Senior Scientific Adviser for Artificial Intelligence with the NHS and held leadership roles such as Director of Women Leading in AI. She has advised governments and global organisations including the United Nations, championing the ethical and transparent use of AI.

A former Science and PSHE teacher with over 25 years of classroom experience, Allison completed a PhD in Molecular Biology and went on to lead the Data Science Degree Apprenticeship programme at Keele University.

Allison has been a longtime advocate for North Staffordshire, serving six years as a local councillor in Newcastle-under-Lyme and leading successful campaigns such as saving Bradwell Community Hospital. She also helped achieve a surprise general election victory in 2017 as campaign coordinator.

Raised in the UK by her hardworking Irish mother, Allison credits her strong work ethic to her family values. She continues to fight for better healthcare, inclusive education, and a stronger local economy.

Currently serving the residents of Stoke-on-Trent South, Allison regularly hosts local surgeries and community events to ensure every voice is heard.
