Welcome back

Welcome back - Longton Shopping Centre

We are delighted to announce that a number of shops have reopened at Longton Exchange following the easing of lockdown restrictions. Non-essential shops have been allowed to re-open again from Monday June 15.

A major facelift at the centre, costing over £1 million, is also nearly complete.

During lockdown essential stores at the centre remained open including Heron Foods and Iceland.

We are now pleased that the green light has been given for more shops to open again. There are safety measures in place to protect shoppers and workers.

We are very grateful to all our essential workers who have kept key stores open during lockdown and have done so much,’ said Centre Manager Yvonne Moulton. ‘It’s now great to see more of shops back open for business again.’

Refurbishment at Longton Exchange started at the end of 2018 and work is still ongoing. It has included the installation of new lighting, high level painting and cladding.

‘I am pleased that we have created a bright, clean and safe retail environment for our customers,’ said Yvonne.

‘The significant Investment marks our commitment to the future of the centre and to the community in Longton.

‘We are keen to continue to support existing retailers and, along with our letting team, attract new retailers to the centre.’

Longton Exchange has welcomed several new tenants into the shopping centre over the last year and there has been a series of recent lettings.
