Terms and Conditions – Win A Shop 2025

Competition Period
The Longton Exchange “Win A Shop 2025” competition will be open for entries from Monday, 17th March 2025 until 9:00 AM on Monday, 21st April 2025.
How to Enter
To enter the competition, entrants must follow the instructions provided on the official website, selecting the application form. The application form must be fully completed and submitted by the deadline. Incomplete or late entries will not be considered.
Judging
All entries will be reviewed by an independent judging panel. The successful applicant will be contacted via the contact details provided during the application process.
Prize
The winner will receive a 12-month rent and service charge-free lease for a shop premises at Longton Exchange.
Business Rates and Utilities: Business rates and utility costs are not included in the prize and will be the responsibility of the winner. Business rates relief can be applied for through the council.
Alterations: Any alterations or improvements to the premises will be at the cost of the winner. Longton Exchange will ensure the premises are in a good rentable state at the time of handover.
Insurance
The winner will be required to ensure they have appropriate insurance coverage for the premises and business operations.
Eligibility
The minimum age for applicants is 18 years.
Charities and not-for-profit organisations will not be considered for the competition.
Non-Transferability
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
Data Protection & Privacy
By entering this competition, you agree that your personal details will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition. Your personal information will not be shared with any third party without your consent, except as necessary for the purpose of the competition.
Disqualification
Entries found to be fraudulent, incomplete, or otherwise violating the rules may be disqualified from the competition.
Competition Modifications or Cancellations
Longton Exchange reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances that prevent the competition from running as planned.
Publicity
By entering, the winner agrees to participate in any reasonable publicity relating to the competition, including but not limited to promotional materials or media coverage. This may include the use of the winner’s name, image, and details of their business for marketing purposes.
Right to Refuse Entries
Longton Exchange reserves the right to refuse any entry that does not meet the eligibility criteria or is deemed inappropriate, incomplete, or fraudulent.
Force Majeure
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as a natural disaster, pandemic, or any other event beyond our reasonable control, Longton Exchange reserves the right to suspend, modify, or cancel the competition without notice.
Acceptance
By entering this competition, entrants confirm that they accept these terms and conditions.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
